Birth of the snail shower.
May 31, 2007 You're seeing the birth of the snail shower. The base has been poured and the glass wall will be installed after it cures. Stay tuned!
Hobby room
May 31, 2007 We're looking at the closets in the Hobby room. The closet on the left will have sliding doors and as you can see seven very nice shelves. The closet with the door closed is a regular cloths closet or what ever else I went to make it. The other picture looks at the back wall of the room with the half bath on the right.

Interior paint
May 23, 2007 Interior paint. The lighting is not too good for picture taking. Two pictures are of the bone white base coat and the coating on the ceiling. The contrasting coat on the walls in the other two pictures is called trail dust. After the cabinets are installed I'll take some pictures at midday when there is not too much sun shining in the windows. The cabinets were delivered today and should be installed either this week or early next week.

A sidebar
May 23, 2007
As a sidebar I want you to see our Apache Junction Starbucks. I think it is one of the best Starbucks I've seen and I've had coffee at many Starbucks coffee houses. It's not too far from my new house at the Springs. The third picture is taken from my backyard showing the houses that are being built on the five acres to the east. Six giant houses on 5 acres of land. I took the picture on a night when there was a potential storm coming in but it never made it past Apache Junction. Nice array of cactus with the broad leaf century plant in full bloom.

Cleaned up the yard
May 23, 2007 Most of he debris has been removed from the yard and it has been graded. The one view from the northwest corner gives you and idea of how much yard there will be. The view looking north is 194 feet from the step in the wall. This is a large lot for this development. First view of the exterior paint.

What's next
5/02/07 Check out the pile of debris left over from the sheet rocking. Quite a bit of waste. I don't know what the next step will be and I'm waiting to see the next step. There are a lot of activities left to do and I have no idea how long it will take. I would guess about three more months at the least. Unless, of course, the builder decides to step up the pace.
Taping of the rock
Sheetrock
5/02/07 Over the last week the sheet rocking and the taping have been taking place. With the walls now covered with sheet rock the form of the house is done. One picture is of the great room looking toward the dining nook. Another is of the bedroom ceiling before taping and the last photo is of the ceiling on the patio.
